The Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) and the International Tourism Professionals Development Association (TODA) from Macau have entered into a partnership aimed at promoting high-quality research, education, and executive training in tourism. The two organizations signed a memorandum of understanding in Macau, which includes joint educational programs and the sharing or creation of educational materials.

This three-year agreement will enable UEM and TODA to develop joint research projects and activities, including submitting proposals for joint grants. The agreement was signed by Rector Manuel Guilherme Júnior and José Luís de Sales Marques from Macau.

In addition to signing the agreement, the Rector participated in the 3rd Edition of the Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions in China and Portuguese-speaking countries. He discussed the development and application of automatic translation tools in the teaching of Portuguese and shared UEM's experiences and vision in the context of digital transformation.

The collaboration also includes potential cooperation with various institutions, such as the Polytechnic University of Macau, and the possibility of student mobility programs through the Confucius Institute, covering fields like music, economics, and management.
