On 8 May 2025, participants of the Diploma in Sustainable Tourism Practices attended Session 4: Air Transportation and Sustainability, led by Mr. João N. Antunes, Director of Customer Services at Macau International Airport Co. Ltd. (CAM).

Mr. Antunes shared a high-level view of the global air transportation system, its regulatory framework, and its influence on the global economy and tourism industry. The session also explored the freedoms of the air and the roles of key stakeholders in international civil aviation.

A special highlight was the presentation of Macau International Airport’s Environmental Management Programme, showcasing how sustainability is being implemented in real-world airport operations.

This Diploma is co-organized by TODA and the Faculty of Business and Law of the University of Saint Joseph (Macao), with 43 participants from Macau, Mozambique, São Tomé e Príncipe, and Cabo Verde.
