Session 2 of the Diploma in Sustainable Tourism Practices, held on 10 April 2025, focused on “Sustainable Tourism and Law”. This session, delivered by Prof. Ângelo P. Rafael, from the Faculty of Business and Law of the University of Saint Joseph, revisited the “tragedy of the commons” and the need for regulation, explored the different approaches to sustainability regulation and their use in Macau and Mozambique, and explored the role of non-state actors in environmental governance in these two jurisdictions.
This Diploma is co-organized by TODA and the Faculty of Business and Law of the University of Saint Joseph. It includes participants from Macau, Mozambique, São Tomé e Principe, and Cabo Verde.
