João is currently the Director of Customer Services Branch of CAM – Macau International Airport Co. Ltd., the Concessionaire of Macau International Airport.

He currently oversees the service provision of sub-concessionaires at the airport terminal and the general support services. He is an International Airport Professional Certified by ICAO-ACI.

Coming from a hospitality background, João started his airport career in the corporate communications department involved in the re-imaging and PR of the Airport. In 2005 moved to the marketing department where he was part of the team of airline and airport marketing and route development. In 2006 he assisted the Executive Director overlooking a number of departments. In 2009 was transferred to the Contract and Operations Management Department,. where he held a number of positions being transferred to ADA, an operating arm of the Airport as the Assistant to the CEO in 2011.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Business Management from UTM and an MBA from the Portuguese Catholic University – University of St. Joseph.

João is married and has two young children who keep him busy. During the rare occasions when he has free time, he enjoys a round of golf with his friends.
